drop a sound
INFO
drop any sound on the page. a clip dragged out of ableton lands as a file. set BPM to your project and the bars to the length of the clip: a dropped loop that is a whole 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars at that tempo sets the bars itself. then PLAY.
the red line is where the sound stands, left ear on top, right ear at the bottom. under it is how far away it is. draw on both with a finger while it plays and you hear it move right away. the square on the left is your head from above with the sound flying round it.
or throw. WALK staggers about. CHAOS is the logistic map, never the same twice and always the same for one seed. EUCLID jumps from ear to ear on a euclidean rhythm. FIGURE is a lissajous loop with a bent phase. HITS puts every hit of the sound somewhere new. BANDS sends the mids one way and the top over 2.5 kHz another. STEP is how often a generator moves.
everything under 150 Hz stays in the middle, so the kick and the bass hold in a club. HEAD at the left is a plain pan. to the right the far ear hears later and duller: it gets inside your head in headphones and loses a little in mono, MONO lets you check.
WAV is the loop you hear, 32 bit, whole bars, never louder than -1 dBTP. drag it onto a track or tap to save.
keys: space plays, D throws, L is more, Z and X step back and forward, M is mono, E saves the wav.
