throw sounds on the pile
over the whole loop, each one only when you switch it on
INFO
throw sounds on the page, as many as you like at once: clips out of ableton, loops, one-shots, field recordings. they land on the pile. the pile starts with a few sounds of its own so there is something to hear on the first tap.
tap a sound on the pile to take it in your hand, HEAR plays it once, + LAYER makes a layer of it. SHUFFLE throws a whole loop of layers out of the pile: different sounds, cuts on their hits, rhythms, pitches, stretches. BACK and FWD walk the shuffles of this visit.
each row on top is a layer. tap it to open it on the bench, drag it sideways to move it by sixteenths. LAY says how it sits: FIT stretches the cut over a number of beats (TAPE pitches with the speed, GRAIN keeps the pitch, CUT just cuts it), HITS strikes it on the lit steps of the bar. CUT is where in the sound the layer is taken from.
the RACK is over the whole loop: chop, a tape stop, dirt, crush, tape, pump, sweep, echo, room, wide. nothing is on until you switch it on. everything under 150 Hz stays in the middle.
WAV is the loop you hear, 32 bit, whole bars, never louder than -1 dBTP. STEMS ZIP gives every layer on its own and the whole loop, for an arrangement. the pile and the loop are kept in this browser for the next visit.
keys: space plays, D shuffles, R rolls the open layer, A adds a layer, H hears the sound in your hand, F throws the rack, Z and X step back and forward, E saves the wav.
