INFO
a bed is noise to lay under a groove. it is cut from hits: a kick of the family, a hat, a burst of noise, a sound of the shelf or one of yours, chewed into grains, copies of itself at other speeds stretched long, a read head that wanders. four layers: the bed, crackle, bursts on the sixteenths, a hum on the key. the pump of a kick on every beat is already in it, so it ducks where your kick will land; some throws duck lighter on the eighths or sixteenths too and swing, to leave room for percussion. + KICK and + PERC let you hear it under a groove; neither is in the wav.
GRIT is the dirt box, AIR dark to hiss, PUMP how deep it ducks, MOVE the groove of the sixteenths and a sweep a bar long, TONE how much it rings on the key: at 0 it is pure noise, no hum, no note, the low end cut for your kick. about half the throws come as pure noise. the key and the tempo are the track's: the other instruments of the family read them too. the loop closes on itself at 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars.
keys: space plays, D throws, L is more like this, Z and X step back and forward, E saves the wav.
