v0.2 · the ghost is the kick itself, cut to its attack, almost as loud, a 1/32 off the offbeat
NEW throws a whole groove that grows every four bars: the way in (the kick with a ghost or none a bar; start: all at once skips it), the phrase, then squares that either come back to it (a ghost moved a 1/32, one soft ghost more, the same with tones, a little denser) or move the rhythm elsewhere: a new phrase in other places, or a groove figure held for three bars and turned over in the fourth. dense adds the lesson's wild end: low tones, a drop of kick and ghosts only, peaks with rolls. end: the loop runs on into bar one, or a short roll, or the break fill of sixteen 1/32 ghosts climbing an octave. the kick plays too: its last beat again on the and, or cut to a tail.
every ghost is your kick from its first sample, cut hard at 1/16 or 1/32 of a beat and played between 0 and -8 dB of it (the fill starts at -12); ghosts and low cut move all the ghosts together, under the kick: quieter, and less bottom piling onto the kick's tail. the file is brought to -1.3 dBTP with one gain and nothing else. the link in the address bar opens this groove again.
keys: space plays, D is new, Z is back, X is forward.
