КОПИЯ
v0.1 · the groove through a spectral resonator, cut under 200 hz, moved off the grid, hacked phrase by phrase
GENERATE records the groove again: through a spectral resonator ringing on the note of the file (256 harmonics, two detuned voices, a ring of about 0.2 s, about half wet), cut under 200 hz so the low end stays with the original, and laid late by a beat or a part of one. then two to four hacks are thrown over it a phrase at a time: haas (±70 %, a 1/64 late, ±12 cents), an octave up quiet, a 1/16 gate on the e and the a, halftime an octave down, a reverse swell into the turn, grains of each hit a 1/32 after it. the copy waits out the first phrase, comes in quiet and grows through the builds, drops out for the drop, and comes back whole for the peak.
copy is how loud the copy sits under the original; madness is how many hacks, how long the ring and how hard they hit. the copy wav sits at its level against your file: lay it under the original at 0 dB. the mix is your file plus the copy under one gain to -1.2 dBTP, no limiter: your loop stays in it sample for sample. REGENERATE is another copy; the link keeps this one (with the same file).
keys: space plays, D regenerates.
